Lithological Description: Flint-rich sand and gravel containing numerous clasts of vein quartz and quartzite with far-travelled erratics of dolerite, schist, greywacke, Old Red Sandstone, granodiorite and porphyry. They possess a wide range of sedimentary structures including horizontal and planar cross-bedding and ripple drift cross-lamination and were deposited as proximal glaciofluvial deposits.

Definition of Upper Boundary: Truncated by Lowestoft Till Member.
Thickness: Typically between 2 and 6 metres.
Geographical Limits: Restricted to the area between Knettishall and Diss.
