Definition of Lower Boundary: |
Base of dacitic tuff that rests with unconformity on an erosion surface in the Dunnerdale Sandstone Formation (volcaniclastic sandstone) and locally on the Wallowbarrow Tuff Formation (andesitic lapilli-tuff). |
Definition of Upper Boundary: |
Contact with overlying volcaniclastic sandstone, or Paddy End Member of the Lickle Tuff Formation. |

Geographical Limits: |
Within the Ulpha Basin. Between Wallowbarrow Heald (SD 210 970), Turner Hall (SD 230 960) to Great Stickle (SD 211 915) and Lickle Valley (SD 240 920), Cumbria. |
