Lithological Description: |
The Thick Stone is generally a fine-grained sandstone, split in places into two leaves. It lies between the Black Bed Coal and the Better Bed Band Coal but in some sections coalesces with a sandstone above the Better Bed, cutting out the Better Bed Band. |
