Quartzose sandstones (orthoquartzites) comprising rounded quartz grains, subordinate feldspar and some glauconite. Locally pebbly and conglomeratic at base, with clasts of Precambrian (Uriconian) volcanic material. Sporadic mudstone interbeds. |

Unconformable on Ercall Granophyre. |

Sharp conformable junction with glauconitic sandstones of the overlying Lower Comley Sandstone Formation. |
