Polished Section. Altered volcanic rock with abundant feldspar microphenocrysts and prominent red limonitic pseudomorphs after mafic minerals, interstitial carbonate. Cut by several veins at ca. 45 to core, part of the flat lying suite. Veins and infills have early quartz + brown clay, turbid carbonate, late clear carbonate. |
