Definition of Upper Boundary: The base of the Sannox Siltstone Formation in the Sannox area, and the unconformity with overlying Upper Devonian strata elsewhere on Arran.
Thickness: About 950 m to 670 m in the west of Arran.
Geographical Limits: Isle of Arran.
