Definition of Lower Boundary: Unconformable (commonly tectonised) contact on underlying pebbly sands of the Ardersier Silts Formation or unconformable on bedrock.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Unconformable contact with overlying sands and silts of the Ardersier Silts Formation.
Thickness: To 3.2m
Geographical Limits: Outcrops in main late glacial cliff between Nairn and Kingsteps Quarry; farther eastwards on 1:50000 Sheet 84 E (Nairn).
