Lithological Description: Gravelly and sandy diamicton composed principally of decomposed Neoproterozoic metamorphic rocks and Caledonian igneous rocks.
Definition of Lower Boundary: Unconformable: on pre Late Devensian superficial deposits or bedrock.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Conformably overlain by Glen Dye Silts Formation or Lochton Sand and Gravel Formation; otherwise unconformably overlain by Flandrian deposits, or at the ground surface.
Thickness: Very variable, generally 2 to 5m, over 8m proved in some sections
Geographical Limits: The East Grampian Highlands.
