Catton Grove Chalk Pit, Norwich. The quarry shows about 12.5m of section including the basal 2m of the Beeston Chalk above the Weyborne Chalk. Both are termed as members in Mortimore et al. (2001, p.356, Figure 4.26.). Elsewhere in that volume the epithet "formation" is applied to the Beeston Chalk. |
