Lithological Description: Sandstones and conglomerates; coarse, grey-green, purple-stained, matrix supported, cobbles of mainly greywacke and rhyolite.
Definition of Lower Boundary: First appearance of conglomerates and pebbly sandstones above underlying Topped Mountain Sandstone Formation, gradational.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Conglomerates and coarse-grained sandstones become thinner towards the top, replaced by an increasing proportion of fine-grained sandstones and mudstones; gradational to Ballinamallard Mudstone Formation.
Thickness: At least 350 metres.
Geographical Limits: Southwestern part of the Fintona Block, Northern Ireland.
