Definition of Lower Boundary: Top of graphitic pelites of the underlying Glenbuchat Graphitic Schist Formation.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Truncated by faults and shear-zones of the Portsoy Lineament.
Thickness: Up to 900m (based on outcrop width only, with no allowance for folding etc.).
Geographical Limits: 100m to 1.5km-wide outcrop extending N-S from Leadensider Burn, Glenbuchat [NJ338 201] to Cairnagour Hill [NJ330 057]. Also in the Lecht-Delnadamph area, Gordon District. Sheets 75W and 75E.
