Lithological Description: Sandstone with interbedded, laminated slaty mudstone and siltstone. The sandstones are predominantly fine- to medium-grained and form thinning- and fining-upwards sequences. Channel fills and slumps are evident in the lower to middle parts of the Formation, while the upper part is characterised by thinly to thickly bedded turbidites.
Definition of Lower Boundary: Conformable above Pendower Formation.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Conformable below Roseland Breccia Formation.
Thickness: Structural thickness of c.240; c.250m in Type Section.
Geographical Limits: Roseland and Meneage areas, south Cornwall.
