Lithological Description: Grey fossiliferous, clayey silt with sand grains and local rock fragments and a peat layer up to 0.1 m near top.
Definition of Lower Boundary: Placed at base of Bed A3 in an augerhole section proved at Colwall, Hereford and Worcester, where it overlies red-brown clays (Bed A2) of the White House Silts. (Barclay et al., 1992).
Definition of Upper Boundary: Placed at base of Beds A7a and B7a, in Colwall augerholes, where they are overlain by stony clay of the Colwall Gelifluctate Member.
Thickness: 1 m.
Geographical Limits: Colwall, in headwaters of Cradley Brook, Hereford and Worcester.
Parent Unit: Cradley Valley Formation (CRVA)
