Definition of Upper Boundary: Transitional boundary taken where the proportion of mudstone similar to that of the overlying Dovestone Redbeds exceeds that of the sandstone.
Thickness: About 78m
Geographical Limits: Lower Palaeozoic inlier of the Hagshaw Hills, Scotland. (50k Sheets 23E, 23W and 15W).
Parent Unit: Glenbuck Group (GBK)
