Lithological Description: Thickly bedded conglomerate with partings of blue-grey green-weathering mudstones passing upwards into poorly-bedded dark green conglomerate with pebbles of spilite, gabbro, red granite, vein quartz and chert.
Definition of Lower Boundary: Succeeds the dark grey mudstones of the Laggan Member of the Balclatchie Formation.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Succeeded by the mudstones of the Pumphouse Member of the Balclatchie Formation.
Thickness: c.240m
Geographical Limits: Girvan area, southwest Scotland.
