Definition of Lower Boundary: At siltstone parting at top of Redhill Limestone Formation, exposed in road-cutting on north side of Elliscales roundabout on Dalton bypass, A590, Furness.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Base of overlying Park Limestone.
Thickness: 90-255m
Geographical Limits: South Cumbria, north Lancashire.
