Type Area  Northwestern flank of the valley of the River Nith in the vicinity of the village of Dalswinton c.8km northwest of Dumfries. Two large linear ridges with intervening glacial drainage channel (up to c 30m deep). No good exposures so nature and thickness of deposit uncertain.
