Lithological Description: Thin, sharp and erosively based, dark grey, commonly foetid crinoidal packstone intercalated with calcareous mudstone or argillaceous, fine-grained wackestone. In type area, 50m of grey-green, basaltic tuffaceous mudstone is present at the top.
Definition of Lower Boundary: Faulted out.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Conformably succeeded by grey slaty calcareous mudstone of the Prince Rock Member.
Thickness: Not known, part of reef deposit.
Geographical Limits: Plymouth area, 50k geological sheets 348/349.
