Lithological Description: |
Grey stony sandy clay diamicton with clasts of Lake District volcanoclistic rocks and Carboniferous Limestone. Contains rip-up clasts of underlying Gillcambon Till at Type Section. Elsewhere in Edenside the unit contains relatively more Permo-Triassic red sandstone and Carboniferous sandstones. |

Planar or uneven unconformable boundary with red diamicton of the Gillcambon Till Formation below, or unconformable on bedrock. |

At land surface or overlain unconformably by glaciofluvial/glaciolacustrine or Flandrian sediments. |
