Definition of Upper Boundary: | Highest lapilli-tuff or (locally) tuff is overlain unconformably by volcaniclastic rocks of the Deepdale Sandstone Formation. | ||
Thickness: | 400m maximum known. | ||
Geographical Limits: | Helvellyn, Fairfield, Striding Edge eastwards to Glenridding, northeastern Lake District, Cumbria. | ||
