Lithological Description: An undifferentiated, regularly bedded sequence of banded to laminated psammite, with thick units of semipelite and some pelite. Decimetre-scale beds of impure quartzite are common close to the base of the overlying unit, seen as part of the transitional change upwards. Pebbly and gritty beds are uncommon, and cross-lamination is rarely seen.
