Definition of Upper Boundary: Generally overlain by fine-grained sandstone and siltstone within the Seathwaite Fell Sandstone Formation.
Thickness: 0 - 200m
Geographical Limits: Langdale Pikes (NY 280 075) to Bell Crags (NY 298 142), Cumbria.
