Point where sharp (this change can extend over 1 or 2m. Rose and Dunham, 1977, p.29, South Cumbria Memoir) upward change occurs from the dark grey bedded packstones of the Dalton Formation to the pale unbedded grainstones of the Park Limestone. |
Definition of Upper Boundary: |
Upward change from massive cream-white to thickly bedded grey pseudobrecciated limestone of overlying Urswick Limestone Formation. |

120 to 130m |
Geographical Limits: |
Around Dalton-in-Furness in the west, to near Carnforth in the east. |
