Definition of Lower Boundary: Sharp, undulating, erosional contact, mainly on yellowish brown tills (diamicton) of the Central Grampian, East Grampian or Banffshire Coast and Caithness Glacigenci subgroups, or on bedrock.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Ground surface, locally covered by peat,
Thickness: To 25m
Geographical Limits: The valley of the River Spey and its tributaries, Grampian Highlands.
