Overlies the Glascarnoch Psammite Formation at its eastern margin, where predominantly psammitic lithologies pass gradationally into predominantly pelitic lithologies. |
Definition of Upper Boundary: |
Overlain by the Crom Psammite Formation at its western maargin, where predominantly pelitic lithiloigies pass gradationally into predominantly psammitic lithologies. |
Thickness: |
c. 300 m (estimate; unit is strongly deformed) thinner to SW and NE. |
Geographical Limits: |
NW Highlands, Central Ross-shire to Sutherland. |
