Geological Survey of Scotland, Vertical sections
Vertical sections were drawn to illustrate the succession of strata in the coalfields in Scotland. A series of c. 30 vertical sections were published at a vertical scale of 40 feet to an inch. They were mostly colour printed. The series was published between 1862 and 1880.
