Author statement Original survey at 1:10 560 scale by A.R. Selwyn. Published as Old Series sheets 75 SW (Pwllheli) in 1851 and 76 S (Bardsey) in 1850. Primary geological survey on the 1:10 000 scale made under contract to the Natural Environment Research Council by T.P. Young and W. Gibbons (Solid) and D. McCarroll (Drift) of the University of Wales, Cardiff, in 1988-91. Marginalia compiled with support from P.E.J. Pitfield and M.P. Hawkins. Offshore geological interpretation by C.D.R. Evans. R.A.B. Bazley, R.W. Gallois and T.J. Charsley, Regional Geologists.
